september was a pretty alright month. it's nice to have more time to myself, though it can feel really lonely. but outside that, i also hung out with my irl friends a lot. we ate a lot of delicious food together. that's one of the best parts of friendship.
i started a brand new island in acnl. i've been pretty focused on just making bells to pay loans and buy cute clothes. and with filling the museum with every new creature i catch. i try to remind myself that it's okay to not play every day, and it makes things a lot easier. i got a lot of really colorful villagers. most notably, chadder. he's one of my favorites, and was in my old island from middle school. he's my top priority alongside kody and static.
i finished tokyo mew mew. it took a while, mainly due to a lack of motivation and my busy life. but im glad i finally did. its a must-watch when it comes to 2000s magical girl shows. i probably won't watch the reboot, but im sure it's good. that being said, i do recommend this show. it's silly and cute.
funny enough, a local store was selling some secondhand manga. including tokyo mew mew a la mode! i had to pick it up to see if it was as bad as people said it was (both volumes, plus some stickers and a pita ten fanbook were 5 dollars in total). ill read it when i remember to..
speaking of pita ten, ive been watching both that and loonatics unleashed. a weird combination of shows, but they're both the exact same length. i watch 5 episodes at a time of each show so i dont accidentally forget to continue one of them and end up in limbo.
to start with the silly angel show, it's a series that just been collecting dust on my watchlist that i only recently got to. i like the contrast between misha (the annoying angel) and shia (the kindhearted devil), and how neither are ever played out to be unlikeable or worse than the other. the anime is padded out with episodic antics between some occasional lore, but i didnt mind. ill have to see if i can get my hands on the actual manga. it's apparently a lot sadder.
and now we talk about edgy looney tunes. despite its drastically different aesthetic and style, i loved it. the edgy futurism was absolute eyecandy to look at, and even if it's not on-point i found the characters do a good job at filling in for the ancestors. tech and rev are my favorites and i want them to kiss (despite what the latter said that one time). i wish we got to see the loonatics in their civilian forms more often. what if they had magical girl transformations whenever there's an emergency? hire me, warner bros!
while doing research on a certain incident on youtube, i discovered one of the cutest and saddest movies ever- arashi no yoru ni (one stormy night in english). it's about the forbidden bond between a wolf and a goat. the wolf, gabu, has an internal conflict with his natural instincts. but mei, the goat, seems to be aware of this and is willing to do anything for at least one of them to life a peaceful life without prejudice. it's a beautiful film. especially if you love cute animals and 2d animation combined with 3d. it's also probably the only anime with an official fandub.
and.. that's it i guess!
