ah, the month of may. the first day is always the fun one. where everyone posts about nsync. personally, i use may day to celebrate the birthday of a certain orange guitar playing girlie. but that aside, this month was certainly something.

to get the bad stuff out of the way first, my laptop is officially done for. if having a completely fucked battery, randomly notifying me of nonexistent usbs being plugged in, and unresponsive keys at certain intervals wasn't enough.. how about the screen glitching when its adjusted? i knew it was over when i noticed it. ive already wiped it and backed up my art, site assets, and music. until i get a new laptop, ill have to post from my phone. it's not that bad though. just takes a bit longer to do. because of this there won't be any major updates (such as new pages or layout overhauls), save for things i might post here.

i played through needy streamer overload. i first heard about it through feelingmachine's review, and had it on my backlog since. when i saw it on sale on switch i took my chance. it's basically a game where your girlfriend becomes a streamer and you become her manager. you delete mean comments, take her out on dates, and make sure shes all there mentally. it's a fun experience, even if it's a little awkward playing on switch. i should warn, however. this game is incredibly triggering and not for the faint of heart. it has themes of suicide, unhealthy obsessions, drug abuse, and has bright colors/flashing imagery.

i started a new save in star fox 64 3d. funny story, i realized santa wasnt real when i didnt get this game for christmas one year (i was 11.. embarassing). while i did end up getting it the next year, i will never forget my disappointment. anyways, this game is absolutely iconic. to this day i still quote the dialogue.

sif2 went all out for it's final month. free gems, 10 pull tickets, all that good stuff. im very sad it had to end so quickly. as ive said, i loved sif. sure, it's a franchise made solely to market cute idols to nerdy otaku. but the catchy music, fun characters, and simplicity is what sells it for me. i ended up uninstalling a day into the month, because i was at my limit with my battery being constantly drained throughout the day.

and last, im getting into multiversus. i installed day one and i quite like it! im a marvin main, to the surprise of no one. my only complaint so far is that you need to make some kind of warner bros account to play. which is super annoying. there's also a lot of paid content reminiscent of mobile gacha games. but the pvp is pretty fun and im having a good time.

overall, may was kind of a drag. hopefully I get a new laptop soon.
